Debt Portfolio Purchases: Purchased and/or managed the recovery of extremely large portfolios of consumer debt with face value exceeding a billion dollars utilizing internal resources and expertise, and our network of law firms and collection agencies across the United States.
FDIC Purchase: Purchased first mortgage lien on new 22,000 SF office building from FDIC as a result of a bank failure. After being unable to restructure debt with former owner, we foreclosed and collected deficiency balance on the loan, then rented the building and successfully sold several years later.
Purchase and Recovery of Non-Performing Financial Instruments
Bankruptcy Purchase: Purchased 100,000+ ft warehouse and large amount of inventory of The Sharper Image from the Bankruptcy Trustee, then found buyer for warehouse and sold contents through liquidation sales and other contacts for a combined 60% return on invested capital in a period of less than 90 days.
Bankruptcy Purchase: Purchased Fowler Square, a distressed 80 unit apartment complex in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas at foreclosure sale. Formed partnership with experienced team and completed turnaround and remodel Rebranded the property as Residences at Gracie Mansion and stabilized and at 96% occupancy.
Multi Family Development: Purchased Rainwater Building, a small apartment project with excess land and created conceptual design for adjacent multi family project and sold the entire project before turning dirt for more than 3 times the purchase price. Now called Rainwater Flats.
Trust/Court Purchase: Purchased 25,000 ft retail/office building, did minor renovation and rented, held for two years and sold for more than 2.5X purchase price.
Partner with Developers: Successfully Invested in numerous large and small real estate developments led by experienced developers including multi story office buildings, large warehouses, retail shopping centers, and hotels in multiple states.
Startup Investing: Secondary Market Liquidity Source. We regularly create secondary markets and provide liquidity by purchasing equity or debt from founders, employees, and early investors wishing to liquidate all or portions of their otherwise illiquid ownership position.
Internet Service Provider (ISP): Co-founded the first Internet Service Provider in the State of Arkansas, Intellinet, LLC in the early 90's.
Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM): Investor and served on the Board of Directors of an early Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) that sold to a publicly traded company.
